SOCIAL VALUE
Training
All our staff receive extensive training covering effective techniques, responsible product usage, and essential safety protocols tailored to each role. This includes training on site-specific risks, such as asbestos management where necessary, to ensure every site is maintained safely and professionally. During their induction, staff complete essential training modules, supported by ongoing refresher skills training, online learning, and regular Tool Box Talks to keep best practices at the forefront.
Further training for our Site Supervisors and management staff includes formal IOSH health and safety courses, equipping our teams with the expertise needed for a safe and compliant working environment.
Beyond Lunchtime….
We’re passionate about the food we serve and that includes how it is sourced and the nutritional content of each of our dishes.
Informing pupils about what goes into their school meals and a focus on sustainability are key to our engagement activities whether we’re running a competition to win a wheelbarrow full of school garden goodies, visiting on a ‘pit stop’ with our smoothie bike or holding an ingredients workshop with one of our trusted local suppliers.
“The children really liked the Smoothie Bike afternoon. It was a fun and informative way to learn about food and the nutrients contained in different foodstuff. The children especially enjoyed powering the Smoothie Bike and tasting the finished products.
“A very educational and entertaining session all round.”
